- 23 and counting - Wednesday, May 26, 2004 First of all, thank you SO much to everyone that made the most incredibly sweet posts for me today. They made me cry. Had a great time tonight, thanks Lacie and Crystal for taking me out and celebrating with me. My day at work was horrible, so I really needed to be with friends. I got some very lovely gifts, but getting gifts isn't the top of my priority list. As long as I'm connecting with someone, that does it for me. Went out with my family for dinner, and they surprised me with a beautiful satin bomber jacket that I've been eyeballing for the longest time. From then on, I knew I just wanted to hang out. One of my good friends couldn't, for reasons I still don't know, come to see me and it really bummed me out. Lacie showed up outside my house and threw me in the car, lol. "I know you had a bad day, that's why I'm here.." Lacie, you're my superwoman. We met up with Crystal at The Elephant Bar for dessert and some catching up, since it's been awhile that we've all been together. I'll admit, my emotions were up and down today, and for the most part I wanted to forget it was my birthday. I'm an emo-disaster like that sometimes. But the end of the evening was laughs and lots of hugs. Thanks girls.
