- What to Wear - Thursday, May 13, 2004 What 2 Wear 4 P2P? Ok, I'm way too old to be posting a sentence with that many numbers replacing words. I am, however, an ironic smartass so there ya go. Well folks, another round of Passage to Paradise is coming up, and no other event has me willing - ney, excited - to spend an insane amount of money to have steak in San Francisco, which if I remember correctly, mine still had a pulse. Oh, well the fact of a certain speedskating hottie being present gives it the edge I must admit. Kristi, you're a top olympian AND you have brains, because inviting Apolo to make an encore appearence at your charity event is smarter than me not investing in Starbucks stock. Last's years P2P was beyond words. For someone that made it a last minute decision, I was so glad I just made it. Kristi's charity efforts are outstanding, and I've gained even more respect for her. The host hotel of the event, Hotel Nikko, is a sight to see. San Fran at night is some kinda magic, I'll tell ya. Add AAO to that mix and you're just lucky to have control of your limbs for the duration of the night. Apolo was so incredibly sweet and gracious that night, spending the last hours of the night at our Table 12, taking pictures, talking about his newly launched website, and watching him attempt to pull out one of the Tiki god's large teeth. I know that this year will be equally great, and I'm really looking forward to meeting Scott Hamilton (my mother and I have been fans of his for years). But girls, no more playin' Vegas card shark in the Nikko lobby. No, no, if we see someone shuffling up to the front desk in gym shorts, NIKE jordan airs, and a Seattle Mariner's cap again, we'll be a little less...hmmm, hidden? lol. No the big question, what to wear? I've been hunting and Kohl's has some super cute tops that would go nice with a cropped blazer and pants. I'm envisioning a big gardenia for the hair this time, but here's the two items I'm eye-balling:
