*phew* If I'm not mistaken, or if I didn't get straight A's in Geography, I would swear on Apolo's BT that Sacramento was 4 and 1/4 blocks from the surface of the sun.
Luckily, I managed to pull myself out of bed at 9am and finish a few loose ends. Here's the "To do" list, that's thankfully a lot smaller than 2 days ago:
1. Get the nails done
2. Full the car with gas
3. Pack for the weekend
I'm on pins and needles, and it's not letting up. I love knowing what's going to happen next, I'm not too good with sudden surprises. The only thing I know is Molla & Lupes can't get their arses here fast enough. The only thing I don't know is what exactly WILL happen this weekend. It's torture, I tell ya - but in a sick way, I'm beginning to love this feeling. The antsy pacing ever so often, the event of keeping myself busy hence I actually stand still long enough to realize I'm going to this Charity dinner, and I pass out & have to be hauled to SF in an ambulance.
Please God, that's not the option I'd take.
The weather is going to be beeeautiful in San Francisco this weekend. Mid to high 60's, with marine layer and slight ocean breeze. Ok, am I dead yet? Sure beats the inferno of Sac Town, but it's a good thing it's going to be cool in SF. Apolo's heat is enough to fry the SF bay cargo ships...hmm, wondering if Sunglasses would be in order? I'm not sure, but pretty confident that Apolo doesn't give off UVB rays. Although, he's been known to radiate UBAQT rays.
Just as dangerous, I'm sure. Sunglasses it is.

And, without further ado - and because it ain't the Saturday Five - it's the Friday Five!
1. Is your hair naturally curly, wavy, or straight? Long or short? It's naturally retarded. If I don't spend 300 hours blowdrying, my hair is wavy. Right now it's about an 3 inches below my shoulders.
2. How has your hair changed over your lifetime? My hair is super fine, but I had it just about every length when I was growing up. Born with super light blonde hair, then by 3rd grade, it changed to dark dishwater blonde. My mom liked to keep my hair short (chin length) most of the time because my hair was stringy. I've permed it, crimped it (damn 80's trends), I've been a strawberry blonde, red head, brunette, and even told my mother I wanted my hair cut just like Jordan Knight from NKOTB. I'm happy to say that I've tamed my hair excursions down quite a bit. Although, I've always wanted to see what I'd look like with deep magenta hair.
3. How do your normally wear your hair? Depends on the season. Winter/Fall I usually wear it down, blow it straight, use the curling iron for some body. Spring/Summer I usually don't give a rat's ass, as long as it's not on my neck making me sweat. Hair Claws are my best friend.
4. If you could change your hair this minute, what would it look like? Well, what I'd like to do isn't what nature would allow. I want thick hair. The kind of stuff that puts peoples eye's out when you spin around them too fast.
5. Ever had a hair disaster? What happened? Oh God. When I graduated high school, I was ready for a change. So, from below the shoulder blonde I had it to-my-chin razor cut & dyed it light auburn. Let's just say I looked like I escaped from the Young Women's Correctional Facility. Neva again, thanks.

Current project in progress: Yuki/Apolo portrait
Percentage completed: 75%
Here's what's been finished so far:
I went and bought some calligraphy pens today, will get started on the wording that will go on the left hand side. Fairly happy so far with how it's turning out, of course in my eyes it could always be better. I'll probably make a few dozens changes before it's in the final stage.

The Italian Job gets the job done.
Went to see this with Kaozuaplia last night. This movie kicked much ass. I was really impressed. Liked it much better than Ocean's 11. Had much more suspense and better story, I think. Plus, ah hell, I'm just partial to Mark Wahlberg anyway. *phew* And the boy did not disappoint. And Seth Green, how much do we love him?

Holy Crap 4 Crap.
I guess late-night engine searching "does a blogger good".
The Washington Mutual in WheatRidge, CO did a recap of Apolo's Signing on their website. Besides our golden boy, do you see any other familiar names mentioned? Two certain freaks that flew ALL the way from Sacramento? Hmmm.
Apolo Ohno Visits Washington Mutual
Muhahahaha.

My fingers are jittery.
My tongue is dry.
My knees are noticably weaker than last month.
Must be time for an Apolo fix.
--------------------
Even though it certainly wasn't one of my best pictures out of the CS signing, it always stops me in my tracks. Apart from the fact that Apolo is just dreamy with minimal effort on his part, the way this photo came out really took my breath away.
It's like slow motion. A hundred words for one blurred moment in time. Gah, Skater Boy is just poetry, plain as can be.

Thanks Jo for helping me Find My Spot in this world.
The Top 3 cities I'm best suited to live in:
1. Seattle, Washington
2. Wilmington, Delaware (WT?)
3. Long Island, NY
Well hmm, and looks like Jo-izy is built to live in Seattle as well. I wonder if a Certain Skater would mind us taking over his territory? Ah hell, It's settled. Let's pack our bags and bust a move to the Emerald City!

Waiting to Inhale
And Nooo, that's not a drug reference.
There's so many times that I feel life getting so tense, so involved, it's like being underwater, or holding your breath until you morph into shades of purple. I don't ever want to get to the point where I can't stop and take a deep breath, and realize that contrary to what my head is telling me, things have a way of working themselves out.
So many exciting things have been happening. Outside of the daily grind, that is. Work's been tense, but alas, it's the end of the school year...oh darn. :P I'm trying not to let petty issues on the job ruin what's been happening elsewhere.
Zoutou's on it's way
Thanks to Molla, aka The Better Half of my Brain, we discovered that Zoutou's raised nearly $2,400 so far In Apolo's Name. What can I say, AAO fans just kick ass. period.
School's out...for SUMMER
the 16th is our last day. My fragile young minds, aka, Holy Terrors, will be graduating to kindergarden. I plan to film a bit, take pics. As much as 3 & 4 yr olds can make you want to take a long walk off a short pier, I love those kids like my own. Gonna miss 'em, dammit.
June 27th. Luau. Ohno Style.
Couldn't get more antsy for this day to come. Not only will I be in the company of my best chicas, but we have a night on the town in SF, and a certain Skater Boy that awaits us. Apolo's on FIYAH - and like a moth to a flame...
and finally...
TB test!
They shall check me tomorrow, but my arm is lookin' A-OK - results should be negitive. Good thing, because that's all I need is Tuberculosis slowin' my Apolo Endeavors. Psh.

Hmm, Can I have some Bibby wit dat?
My line of work is SO funny during this time of year, and ONLY during this time. Summer's coming, and school's almost out. Teacher's just turn on the "I don't give a rat's ass" mentality, and the days are pretty stress-free. The only pressing thing before this school year is out is renewing my TB scan. So I'll spend Monday in a doctor's office being poked (hopefully not proded).
Two of my kids went home with lice today, and of course that always freaks out the staff. Everyone's subconsciously itching for no reason. Love the school nurse and her helping paranoid staff, I'm good to go ;)
Went with the 'rents to the Chilli's on Howe & Arden, and as we walked down the hallway to be seated, I spot a acceptionally bald(acceptionaly HOT) guy eating with what appeared to be family and friends. He finished a bite of food, and looked up - lo and behold, it's Mike Bibby. Of course, I try to act like I don't even see him. I've been to a lot of King's games, but never had the chance to see Mike that up close. *phew* Hot boy, that's all I can say. We were seated across the way from his table, and I watched as he packed up his "crew" (consisting of a few kids as well) and headed out. A little girl and her family were sitting by the walkway to the exit, and as Bibby walked out, the girl pops her head over the partision and squeeks, "Mr. Bibby, can I please have your autograph?".
He gets a big smile, leans over and signs her Chilli's placemat! His peeps were probably already in the car waiting, but even though he was so non-chalaunt about being there, someone was bound to ask. He's really not that large in person, you'd never know he played b-ball looking at him. But I LOVE me some Bibby, what a fox ;)
Ok, back home and now - to the art table. Again.

Never old enough to be young again
Out of the plethora of things on my list of "apey no likey", the one that stands out from day to day is being patronized simply because of my age. In my line of work, you're not only bound to get the New Kid On the Block treatment, but it's more often than not going to drive you mad. Today was no expection, but I proved them wrong. end of story.
The art desk is piling up with projects, I need to peel my megabyte-addicted fingers from this keyboard and put some extra energy into them. Honest to God, art makes me calm. Like the release from the outside world, the one that makes sense to me.
This month is going to be a rollercoaster, I can just feel it. And wouldn't you know it, I forgot my damn dramamine and barf bag AGAIN.
