Wow.
No posts.
Last week was nuts and kept me running across town at all hours of the day. It was great to see the week end.
I spent Halloween weekend with the two scariest ghouls this side of slightly normal.
You'll never guess the hellish freakishness that insued.
Saturday.
...started out with a scary-as-hell trip to Sonic Burger for lunch. That Cherry Limeade was so good it freaked me OUT. Oh, and don't get me started on the food - those burgers will straight have you runnin' for your mommy.
And if lunch wasn't frightening enough, we had to heighten the fear x 10 by driving to Lemoore, CA. to The Palace. This place is not for the faint of heart. Just before I became paralyzed with fright, Lupes utters the most horrifying sentence - "It's time for BINGO!"
Every goblin from here to Transylvania was playing this addicting game, and peering at you through the blinding smoke hovering above their bad hair pieces and oh-so-80's lip stick. Between getting threatened with the rack for distrubing our fellow comatose patrons and getting just a wee bit out of hand with the 'dabbers', this was shaping up to be a truly terrifying trip.
Sunday.
You'd think that we would have learned our lesson not to mess with evil, but you should know by now that we don't think. Hence, stop holding your breath and read on...
Up the creepiest hill we went, driving aimlessly as if we weren't to soon be in fear of our very lives....or wallets. There it was! In the midst of the haunting fog clouds we saw it...the Casino that everyone goes in, but never comes out. Lupes was kidnapped and tied to a green table that the murderous captors refered to as "volcano roulette". *shiver* I'll never be the same again.
Hands would leap out from the walls, grab the loose change in your pockets, and throw them into the mouths of these awful machines that made loud dinging sounds - loud enough to make your hair stand on end. Molly and I finally escaped with our lives, a large hazelnut coffee and chocolate eclair, while Lupes was apparently favored since they released her from the table with 2 times more money than she entered with.
Other tortureous things happened, some too mortifying to mention. All I remember is a dark room, Wild Vines bottles, NKOTB video tapes, and shreeking laughter.
*shivers again*
A bone chilling weekend that I wasn't prepared for - and I still have the shakes.
